Thankfully there is better news for ITV's popular programme, Long Lost Family, as it has been confirmed it will return for a further two series.

To top it off, spin-off shows What Happened Next and Born Without Trace will also be back for new series.

Long Lost Family first aired in 2011 and is hosted by Nicky Campbell and Davina McCall.

The pair help members of the public try and locate their long lost relatives, often revealing extraordinary stories along the way.

The tear-jerker series led to spin-off programme, What Happened Next launching in 2014 so viewers could find out what had happened to the families after their emotional reunions.

Then in 2019, another spin-off series, Born Without Trace began and sees Davina and Nicky help foundlings track down the people who abandoned them as babies.

Long Lost Family has been such a success it has won two Baftas during its run, first in 2014 and again in 2021.

While the show has gone from strength to strength, the same cannot be said for the two programmes that were axed this week.

Deep Fake Neighbour Wars followed the world's most famous celebrities as they swapped their Hollywood glamour for suburbs across the UK.

Britain's Got Talent's Francine Lewis portrayed Kim Kardashian while Katia Kvinge played Adele, Ariana Grande and Dua Lipa.

The show was exclusive to ITV's streaming platform ITVX and dropped last year.

An ITV spokesperson told TVZone: "There are no plans for new episodes of Deep Fake Neighbour Wars.

"The full series will remain on ITVX for everyone to enjoy and sits alongside the many other comedies on the streamer."

Meanwhile, bosses also scrapped Significant Other after one series on air.

The show, which ran for six episodes, was broadcast last year and featured former IT Crowd star Katherine Parkinson and Youssef Kerkou.
