Huddersfield Giants head coach Ian Watson insists he will not disrespect London Broncos and make wholesale changes to his squad, but admitted there are a couple of enforced changes. The Giants head to the capital for Rivals Round looking to secure a fourth win in seven games to begin the season.

Huddersfield were without the likes of Chris Hill, Sam Hewitt and Luke Yates last week and Jake Connor came off during their Challenge Cup victory over Hull FC. It's unclear, at this stage, who Watson wlll and won't have available, with their extended squad not set to be confirmed until Friday afternoon.

But Watson insists any changes will be necessary and not made because they're taking on the newly-promoted side, who have been on the receiving end of some heavy defeats so far.

"There's a couple of changes but more enforced," Watson said. "Once you get a bit of rhythm you want to keep consistency but we've had a few things that have slightly set us back and there will be a couple of tweaks in there."

Asked if he would consider further rotation given the opposition, Watson said: "Not at all. I think we played Hull last year when they had lost seven on the bounce. We went there and were performing pretty well until that game, we went half-cocked and didn't do our job. That's a warning to us this week to make sure we're doing everything right.

"I've not thought about tweaking the team, it was about building consistency and our processes and the continuity between ourselves as individuals more than anything else."

London haven't won a game yet this season and have conceded 44 points a game on average so far this season. But they have threatened with the ball and Watson is keen to see his side show a strong attitude to the game at a time when complacency could creep in.

"I think every week comes down to your attitude and how you approach the game," he said. "You want everybody to be 100 per cent in every week, taking it the right way and every game seriously. You look at London's performances at home against Catalans and Wigan, even Hull away they should have probably got the win there.

"They'll come with enthusiasm and ready to play and compete. They will test you, their attack is very good, they like to throw the ball about and push it, flick it out of the back pocket. You have to defend really well because they will score points as they've proven in the other games. It's about us focusing on what we're about and improving week in, week out."
