A Place in the Sun couple sob as they're hit with cruel twist after finding dream home
A Place in the Sun presenter Jean Johansson was back on our screens on Tuesday afternoon as she helped Manigeh and Ian try to find their dream holiday home in Torrevieja, Spain
Viewers of Channel 4's A Place in the Sun were left shocked at the end of Tuesday's episode, hosted by Jean Johansson, when an unexpected twist unfolded for would-be buyers Manigeh and Ian.
The pair, who were on a quest to find their dream holiday home in Torrevieja, Spain, had been shown around five different properties throughout the programme.
Their budget maximum was £90,000 with a desire for a property boasting no less than two bedrooms. Despite forewarning Manigeh and Ian that finding their dream home might prove difficult within their budget, presenter Jean insisted she would strive for success.
She promised: "It is a challenge in this area so I know what you can get for £90,000. There will be compromises to be had but I'm going to do my best to get all what you want into the property."

To everyone's delight, Jean discovered a three-bedroom townhouse priced at £84,052, a gem that ticked every box on the couple's wish list. The enamoured pair instantly fell for the property and were elated when an offer they made was accepted.
However, in an unexpected turn of events, Jean revealed as the credits began to roll that the seller had suddenly decided to withdraw the house from the market - much to everyone's astonishment.
The presenter declared in dismay: "What a great search. However, a few days later the seller decided to withdraw from the sale and take the property off the market. Such disappointing news for Manigeh and Ian but I hope they're able to find their dream home soon."
