John Robins has made a name for himself in the world of stand-up and radio. He began performing comedy in 2005 and went on to reach the semi-finals of the So You Think You're Funny competition at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

The star later appeared as a guest and co-presenter on both The Russell Howard Show and The Jon Richardson Show on BBC Radio 6 Music.

He has gone on to appear on a number of shows such as Alan Davies: As Yet Untitled, Live at the Apollo, Mock the Week, Live from the BBC, Celebrity Deal or No Deal with Sarah Millican.

In 2019 John announced that he would be hosting a new show on BBC Radio 5 Live alongside Elis James. The pair later launched a new podcast How Do You Cope? Which saw the duo talk to celebrities about mental health issues they have faced.

The star is now set to appear on the new series of Channel 4’s Taskmaster alongside Joanne McNally, Nick Mohammed, Sophie Willan and Steve Pemberton.

Is John Robins married and does he have children?

When it comes to John’s love life, the star prefers to keep it away from the limelight however what we do know is that he was previously in a relationship with fellow comedian Sara Pascoe.

The pair got together in 2013 but decided to call it quits in 2016. At the time Sara reportedly left John for four weeks when she went to Australia.

During an episode of Mock the Week, John explained how he felt a feeling of "grief" when Sara left him on his own in the flat, My London reports.

In 2018 he confirmed his new relationship with fashion designer Coco Fennell, sister of actress Emerald Fennell. A year later, the pair announced that they got engaged but in 2021 John announced on his Radio 5 Live show that the couple had split. It’s unknown if John is currently in a relationship and if he has any children.

John’s battle with alcohol

John previously opened up about his personal struggles with alcohol and the effect it had on his mental health. The star previously appeared on BBC Sounds podcast series How Do You Cope and revealed that a doctor told him that he had to address his drinking.

At the time he said: “"It was like the last light got switched off and I was like 'I am totally done. I can't do this on my own and I'm completely lost.'

"I just had nothing left - there was nowhere I could go because I got myself in such a state." After realising he needed help, he attended a 12-step recovery programme and has not drank alcohol since.
