Iceland Cricket, renowned for its humorous social media presence, brutally trolled England pacer Ollie Robinson after he commented on the series loss to India. Iceland Cricket’s recent post about Ollie Robinson has quickly gone viral on the social media platform.

During their recent Test tour of India, Ben Stokes’ side suffered a 4-1 defeat, despite a promising start with a victory in the first Test match in Hyderabad. However, the visiting team missed opportunities to win the third and fourth Tests, resulting in a series loss.

The Ben Stokes-led team secured an initial triumph in the series opener in Hyderabad against India. However, they faltered in maintaining their winning momentum, resulting in defeat in the following four matches, ultimately conceding the series to the hosts.

England suffered their first Test series loss under the leadership of Ben Stokes and head coach Brendon McCullum. Although England’s bowlers secured India’s 20 wickets in the first two matches, they failed to trouble India’s batters in the remaining three matches.

We Feel Like 4-1 Was Undeserved Really – Ollie Robinson

Reflecting on the series loss, Ollie Robinson acknowledged missed opportunities while expressing the belief that the 4-1 defeat was undeserved. He emphasized the quality of cricket his team played and their potential to become the best in the world.

“Obviously a catch I dropped in the fourth Test would have helped us but, no, we feel like 4-1 was undeserved really. We played some really good cricket and maybe on another tour it could have been 3-2 to us, who knows?” Robinson told Sky Sports News.

“But the brand of cricket that we’re playing is really good to watch for fans and good to play in. I think we’re really close to being the best in the world, to be honest. A few one percenters here and there and we can really dominate the world of cricket,” he added.

Robinson played only one Test during the fourth match of the five-match series in Ranchi. The right-arm pacer dropped Dhruv Jurel’s catch on 59 runs in the first innings. Jurel capitalized on the opportunity and made a significant contribution of 90 runs.

Robinson’s underwhelming performance was marked by 13 wicketless overs and a recurrence of his back injury. He conceded 54 runs, including six no-balls.

While Robinson had a disappointing period in India, his overall Test record across 20 England caps is exceptional, with 76 wickets at an average of 22.92. He aims to secure a more permanent position in England’s Test bowling attack, especially with Broad’s retirement.
