Heavy rain and flooding earlier this week left one star dweller who had lost his way in need of rescue from the choppy waters of the North Sea.

Craster RNLI were called out on Monday evening to a "large, silver object" which had been reported in the water. The charity's D class lifeboat headed straight for it with a volunteer crew on board.

On arrival at Embleton Bay, they located the object which turned out to be a balloon in the shape of Baby Yoda from the Mandalorian. The force one wind helped the volunteer crew safely back to Craster, where the lifeboat was refuelled and prepared for service again - and Baby Yoda was sadly deflated.

Howick Coastguard Rescue Team were also called out to Embleton Bay for the "rescue". In a post on Facebook, Crater Lifeboat Station RNLI said: "The first informant did the correct thing by calling 999 and asking for the Coastguard, as this could have quite easily been a kite surfer."

One of the charity's followers on Facebook responded: "The Force Was With You, good job done," while another said: "May the tide be with you."

The callout was the second for Craster RNLI in five hours.
