A video posted on social media by an X user showed a Swiggy delivery man stealing shoes from the doorstep of a customer. The video was posted by a user named Rohit Arora, who saw the incident unfolding on a CCTV camera outside the gate.

In the viral video, a delivery man from Swiggy Instamart can be seen sneaking around the footwear lying outside Arora’s house in Gurugram, before stealing them. As per Arora, the incident was from April 9 and he posted the video on April 11 after he didn’t receive a reply from the grocery service upon raising the complaint.

Eventually, Swiggy Instamart replied to Arora on Friday (Apr 12) through their official Swiggy Cares handle, and wrote, “Hey Rohit, we expect better from our delivery partners. Do meet us on DM, so we can assist you better."

In the video, the delivery agent can be seen walking up to the door, ringing the bell and waiting for the house owner to open the door. Meanwhile, he looks around, with the grocery package in his hand and does a quick scan. As he waits, he seems to see the shoes lying outside the entrance door.

Soon after, the door opens and someone takes the package from him. He then uses his phone for a second, as if to show he is busy doing something and starts to tread away from the door. He then takes a pause and looks towards the direction of the shoes.

Then, the delivery agent removes the cloth wrapped around his head and wipes his face with it. A moment later, he treads back with hush steps towards three pairs of shoes and takes one pair in the same cloth he used to wipe his face.

He carefully covers the pair of shoes in his clothes and walks away. The X user captioned the video, "Swiggy’s drop and PICK up service. A delivery boy just took my friend’s shoes (Nike) and they won’t even share his contact.”
