Experts have found that skin aging starts in your 20s but the early signs may not be initially visible.

Aging is inevitable, but there are several lifestyle habits that may slow the process.

These include eating a nutritious diet, regularly exercising, wearing sunscreen, avoiding tobacco, and drinking alcohol in moderation.

The American Academy of Dermatologists advises people to have an anti-aging skincare routine established by their 40s and 50s.

Having applied SPF 30 or higher and a moisturizer, many people still want to enhance their youthful appearance with other beauty products.

Alayza Casey is a celebrity makeup artist, who lives in Dallas, with almost 81,000 Instagram followers.

Speaking to The U.S. Sun, she revealed a selection of the best cosmetics for achieving an age-defying look.

FACE

Casey recommended investing in makeup with a creamy formula that can add moisture to the skin.

“Go for a dewy foundation to give your skin that fresh, youthful glow,” she said.

“The Haus Labs Triclone Skin Tech Foundation makes the perfect pick-me-up for your face.”

The foundation is sold in a wide shade selection for $45 at Sephora.

According to the brand, founded by Lady Gaga, it’s a “long-wearing” product that provides medium coverage.

One to two pumps of the foundation should be blended into the skin with either a brush, sponge, or fingertips.

CHEEKS

Casey suggested wearing a color on your cheeks that gives you a warm and healthy glow.

“Add a pop of bright pink blush on your cheekbones to perk up your complexion and give you a more youthful and girly look,” she said.

“The Patrick Ta Double Take Cream and Powder Blush in the shade Just Enough lasts all day for the perfect glow.”

Patrick Ta Major Headlines Double-Take Crème & Powder Blush Duo is priced at $38 at Sephora.

“Swipe on a liquid highlighter on the tops of your cheekbones for that extra glow,” she added.

Customers have gushed about its natural finish and shade range.

The brand recommends using the doe-foot applicator to apply one or two dots for a luminous look.

EYES

“Try using lashes that are longer in the center or a round lash to make your eyes look bigger and more doll-like,” Casey said.

“My favorite is Lilly Lashes Minimal from their Everyday Collection. It's a fun way to play up your features.”

Lilly Lashes Everday Collection Minimal Lashes have a 5-star rating from Beauty Bay customers.

One reviewer described the handcrafted $20 lashes as “super fluffy and pretty.”

For a finishing touch, Casey suggested applying a highlighter to the inner corners of the eyes.
