New Buy Now, Pay Later regulations have seen M&S, Amazon, eBay, and Etsy removed from Laybuy's app, leading shoppers to express their dissatisfaction and claim the service is now 'of no use'.

Amid the current cost of living crisis, huge retailers have all been removed from the app, frustrating consumers, reports Birmingham Live. One disgruntled shopper wrote on Trustpilot this week: "I used to use Laybuy all the time to buy off Amazon on eBay.

"Now they've removed these stores from their app, it's absolutely no use to me anymore. I have moved on to another app that I can use eBay and Amazon. It's a shame because I really like Laybuy, but all good things must come to an end your stores have no interest to me."

A second customer said: "I used to buy things from Amazon and eBay as you could spread the cost but they aren't there anymore. Also last weekend Marks and Spencer were there and then disappeared too. Please please sort this out!"

A third annoyed user added: "Really disappointed that I can't use the stores I use. Can you let me know when this will be up and running? Really annoying."

Laybuy lets shoppers spread the cost of your shop over six weekly payments. "Want to buy it now but it’s over your limit? Simply pay the difference upfront with Boost," it says. "Shop what you love in-store with the Laybuy Card. Add it to your digital wallet."

"Discover more places to shop, exclusively in the app," the service then goes on to say online.

A spokesperson for Laybuy commented: "We are very aware of the frustration it has caused our customers and are working hard to rectify the situation. I would like to reassure customers that any existing orders or repayments are unaffected."
