Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper Pat Cummins engaged in a lighthearted banter with Marnus Labuschagne following the 30th match of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. Pat Cummins playfully teased the dimensions of the Bengaluru stadium in a conversation with Marnus Labuschangne.

Sunrisers Hyderabad secured a comfortable 25-run victory against Royal Challengers Bengaluru at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on Monday, April 15. The Hyderabad team surpassed their own record for the highest total (277-3) set against the Mumbai Indians (MI) earlier this season.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad amassed a colossal total of 287/3 in 20 overs after being asked to bat first. Opening batter Travis Head scored a magnificent century, supported by valuable contributions from other batters such as Heinrich Klaasen, Abhishek Sharma, Aiden Markram, and Abdul Samad.

You'd Clear The Fence Here At Bengaluru - Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins took to Instagram to praise Travis Head after the team's victory against the Royal Challengers Bengaluru. Cummins shared a picture with Head on his official social media handle.

Australian middle-order batter Marnus Labuschagne commented "wow" on the post. Cummins replied to Labuschagne's comment, writing, "You'd clear the fence here at Bengaluru."

Travis Head Smashes Brilliant Century vs RCB

The visiting team made a strong start with the bat, with Head reaching a 20-ball fifty with aggressive strokeplay. By the end of the powerplay, they had raced to 76-0. However, there was some relief for Bengaluru, as Abhishek Sharma was dismissed by Reece Topley on the first ball of the ninth over.

Following Abhishek's dismissal, Heinrich Klaasen joined forces with Head. They swiftly contributed 57 runs for the second wicket. Head reached his first IPL century off just 39 balls, making it the fourth fastest in IPL history. However, he was dismissed for 102 runs off 41 balls by Lockie Ferguson.

Klaasen reached his fifty off 23 balls by smashing a maximum over long-off in the 15th over. He fell victim to Ferguson after scoring 67 runs off 31 balls. Abdul Samad's quickfire 37 not out off 10 balls and Aiden Markram's 32 not out off 17 helped SRH set a new record for their highest total in an IPL innings.

Wish I Was A Batter - Pat Cummins

Pat Cummins expressed his admiration for batters and the game of cricket and mentioned his difficulty in predicting the wicket conditions. Cummins highlighted the batters' approach with smiles on their faces, emphasizing the team's positive attitude.

"Wish I was a batter. Wonderful game of cricket. Amazing scenes. Good fun. You try your best. If you bowl an over of 7 or 8, you can have an impact on the game. I have given up trying to read the wicket. Chinnaswamy looked dry. Really happy. Four wins now. The batters have gone about it having a smile on their faces," Cummins said.

In reply, RCB managed to score 262/7 in their 20 overs. Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli provided a strong start, but wickets fell quickly after the powerplay, disrupting their rhythm. Dinesh Karthik's aggressive 83 off 35 balls kept RCB in contention but lacked support from the rest of the team.
