Two women were seen grappling and pulling each others hair in a fight that broke out in a queue of traffic in Greater Manchester.

Other motorists could be seen getting out of their cars to try and separate the pair with one woman appearing to try and throw a headbutt in the vicious tussle that is believed to have broken out at around 8am this morning in Denton, Tameside.

People also used their mobile phones to record the chaotic scene, with one witness saying it all began when a woman "pushed into the queue at the traffic lights" close to the busy junction of Ashton Road and Hyde Road. A woman then "told her to get out of her" and was "screaming" before the fight broke out.

The footage appeared to show the pair grabbing each other's faces and hair as they tussled in the middle of the road and an attempt was made at a headbutt by one of the women but it didn't seem to make contact. There was plenty of pushing and shoving while in the middle of the heated exchange, one of the women shouted: "You've got your babies in the car."

A man then could be seen stepping in to try and break up the pair, as well as a woman who was in the car behind and they seemed to help calm the situation down with the warring pair separated. The identity of the pair involved is unknown.

The videos have been widely shared on social media, with thousands commenting on the post. One person wrote: "Imagine having that much energy in the morning." Another person said: "Wow. Fantastic behaviour in front of your children. Unfit parent right there."

Another person commented on the cause of the incident: "One woman jumped the queue for the lights. Big junction in denton and happens a lot. Seems like someone had had enough," and another said: "Disgusting behaviour and not funny at all. Apparently there were children in one of the cars."

It comes after clips emerged of a punch-up between two women on a busy motorway bridge, as traffic was brought to a halt earlier this month. Cars on Glasgow’s Kingston Bridge came to a standstill as the pair rained blows on each other and rolled on the ground in the middle of the busy motorway.

The incident is believed to have happened at around 11.15am on Friday (April 12) on the eastbound carriageway. Traffic can be seen passing freely in the slip road to the city centre as the truck blows its horn to try and get the pair to break apart. Now more footage of the fight has emerged which appears to show two women punching each other as they grapple in the middle of the road.
