DeMar DeRozan's daughter, Diar, will not attend the Chicago Bulls' Wednesday play-in game against the Atlanta Hawks.

Diar is at camp and won't be present at the United Center for the 9:30 p.m. tipoff, DeRozan said Wednesday afternoon.

"She just told me, just make it to the playoffs, so she can get to a game," he told reporters. "That's all the motivation I need."

Videos of Diar screaming in the stands while the Toronto Raptors took free throws during their 2023 play-in loss to the Bulls went viral last season.

The Raptors missed 50 percent of their 36 free-throw attempts in the loss.

She then missed the Bulls' play-in finale loss to the Miami Heat because she had to attend school, DeRozan told reporters.

DeRozan is a key reason Chicago has earned a second play-in opportunity in as many seasons. He led the team with 24.0 points and 5.3 assists per game.

Now the 34-year-old will look to guide the Bulls to a play-in win and get them back in the playoffs—and Diar back in the stands—for the first time since 2022.
