The Jacksonville Jaguars are "extremely high" on LSU wide receiver Malik Nabers, according to John Shipley of Jaguar Report.

Jacksonville is on the clock with the No. 17 overall pick of the 2024 NFL draft. Shipley projected the team to move up in order to grab an elite wideout, adding that Nabers would be the Jags' preferred target if he's still on the board.

Ohio State's Marvin Harrison Jr. was long the consensus pick as the top pass-catcher in the 2024 class. He's the No. 1 overall player on Bleacher Report's big board.

Nabers appears to be gaining ground, however, and very well could be the first player selected at his position. ESPN's Louis Riddick reported Monday "there are suddenly many evaluators who feel Nabers has passed Harrison as the best WR in the 2024 draft."

The Tigers star had 89 receptions for 1,569 yards and 14 touchdown as a junior. Only Washington's Rome Odunze had more receiving yards in FBS.

Nabers' performance at LSU's pro day only boosted his draft stock. He posted times of 4.35 and 4.40 seconds in the 40-yard dash, which is pretty impressive for a player who was listed at 6'0" and 200 pounds.

It's not a fait accompli that the Jaguars will take a wideout in the first round, but that's probably the safest bet for now. Leading receiver Calvin Ridley left as a free agent, so Jacksonville is seriously lacking a true No. 1 option.

A trade up is probably required if the team covets Nabers, Harrison or Odunze. The sheer depth of talent at receiver in the 2024 means the Jags could say put and still get good value as well.
