Race Across the World viewers were baffled by a team's admission moments into tonight's episode.

This season of the popular BBC show sees five teams battle it out to in a trek across Eastern Asia. The pairs must navigate through the region without the use of smartphones, internet or bank cards.

In tonight's episode, the teams had to head towards the second checkpoint in Sokcho, South Korea. However, the teams struggled their way through Japan as they aimed to make it to the ferry port.

In last week's season premiere, viewers were confused as Alfie and Owen lost their map early on in to the journey. The teams were presented with a map to help them with their journey.

However, viewers following the show on social media platform X were in disbelief as Eugenie and Isabel admitted they made the same error at the start of tonight's show. Viewers following the show on X were gobsmacked as the map was the most important item they had.

Nikki said: "Why are they all losing their maps essential piece of kit!"

TIna added: "How are they losing the one thing that they absolutely need to have, the map?!"

Matthew commented: "That's the 2nd team that has lost a map!"

MIchael posted: "HOW are teams losing maps?"

Ellie said: "Why have 2 teams lost their maps?
