Lord Sugar will be seen choosing the latest winner of The Apprentice on Thursday night, and bookies believe the result is 'too close o call' with very little between each of the candidates in the final odds.

Always TV gold, The Apprentice has been a ratings hit for the BBC for two decades now and, on April 18, all eyes will be fixed on BBC One as Phil Turner and Rachel Woolford aim to go into business with industry mogul Lord Sugar. The new series has been compelling viewing as the candidates have been cut down week after week.

Last week saw the return of the notoriously trick to negotiated, but brilliant to watch interviews, as Apprentice fans were delighted to see the return of Lord Sugar's aide Claude Littner. Now just Phil and Rachel are left standing and in the running for a potentially life changing business deal.

And it's Phil who betting experts Gambling.com reckon is the one to beat, but only just. His journey to the final has been far from smooth, with him losing nine tasks in a row and him facing an automatic firing, before crucially managing to triumph as project manager. The pie shop owner is the 8/11 tip to land Lord Sugar's £250,000 investment, ahead of boutique fitness studio owner Rachel, who isn't far behind on 11/8.

Lord Sugar hasn't shied away from investing in the fitness industry in the past, after he plunged three quarter of a million sum into last year's winner Marnie Swindells' Bronx Boxing Club business.
