Arsenal fans have demanded Gabriel Jesus be sold after he was caught watching Manchester City's clash with Real Madrid just minutes after the Gunners’ heart-breaking elimination against Bayern Munich.
Mikel Arteta's side failed to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League on Wednesday. They slumped to a 3-2 aggregate defeat - Joshua Kimmich scoring the winning goal at the Allianz Arena.
Instead of consoling his current teammates, Brazilian striker Jesus was spotted tuning into his former side’s defeat instead. Man City drew with Real Madrid 1-1 at the Etihad, before being eliminated by the Spanish side on penalties.
Jesus’ decision did not go down particularly well with some supporters, who now want the forward sold. One fan wrote: “Erm.. get this guy out my club immediately,” while another said: “Sell him this summer. Pathetic.”
The calls to sell Jesus continued to come throughout the evening. A further supporter wrote: “Bin him asap lol we JUST lost,” with another saying: “Why is this guy watching city when we just lost get rid of him”
A final Arsenal fan said: “A lot of people won’t have any problem with this, but just after you lost one of the most important matches of our season you need to watch your old team play live? Not even wait to see the highlights in the team bus? The coaching staff I am ok but not our players… come on!”
Jesus spent five years with Man City - scoring 95 times in 236 appearances in all competitions. He helped Pep Guardiola's side to four Premier League titles. The Brazilian quit the Etihad in July 2022 in a £45m move to North London. Injuries have punctured his time as an Arsenal player so far.

Jesus has made 64 appearances in all competitions for the Gunners and has scored 19 goals. Arteta gave his thoughts on Arsenal’s elimination and claimed it will be a mental test for the whole squad.
"At the moment it is a really gutted dressing room," he said. "I cannot find the right words to lift them. I wish I had. We have to go through it.
"The club has been without Champions League football for seven years and you want to play in the first year and be in the semi-finals or the final. We all wanted that so badly but you can see in many other clubs it takes them sometimes six or seven years to get to that stage.
"We tried against a team who has a lot of experience and through the tie the margins have been very small. There were moments where we were better. We gave them two goals and in the tie that was a big advantage to give away.
You could see there was zero margin for error and we made a big mistake defending the box to concede the goal. Then it was difficult. We tried in many different ways but it's difficult."
