Boxing will be booming in the next two months with four undisputed title fights and a '5 vs 5' tournament.

The sport has a huge period ahead which will be headlined by Tyson Fury's undisputed heavyweight clash with Oleksandr Usyk on May 18 in Saudi Arabia.

On another notable card, Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol will do battle for the undisputed light-heavyweight titles in another Middle East battle, which will take place before a huge '5 vs 5' tournament between Eddie Hearn and Frank Warren's fighters on June 1.

Saudi Arabia's investment into the sport is bringing the fights that fans want to see, and talkSPORT boxing analyst Spencer Oliver believes boxing's schedule is currently hitting a new peak.

"We've got two undisputed fights two weeks apart. The investment of Saudi Arabia is making these two cards happen, we are seeing cards we would have never seen in the past.

"The undisputed fights are on and it is healthy for the sport because fans are getting what they want to see as the financial implications have now been taken away.

"It is a real good time for boxing right now, and particularly in these stacked next two months."

Fury and Usyk are set to make history when they duel to become the first undisputed heavyweight world champion since Lennox Lewis in 1999.

The absence of a four-belt champion in the division is finally set to be filled, with mandatory challenges put to the side to make the huge showdown happens.

And Oliver believes the 25-year gap shows how big of a moment that is being created.

"It has taken 25 years to get to this so it is a huge moment for the sport, it is exciting times," he continued.

"But you look at the undercard even, with the investment in the main event it can often be weak.

"But we are getting even strong undercards now and it is brilliant, and we will finally find out who is best."

It will be followed by another 5 vs 5 showdown between Hearn and Warren's fighters, with the promoters having finally buried their feud as a result of H.E. Turki Alalshikh's persistence.

The concept, which is headlined by Deontay Wilder's clash with Zhilei Zhang on June 1, is helpful for reviving the sport and can be carried foward to match fighters, according to Oliver.

He said: "It is a brilliant concept, it could even work in the UK as well once this one has been completed.

"I think it will be brilliant on the night, and it could continue on the pay-per-view model going forward.

"It is the way forward and not to mention you have Beterbiev v Bivol on top of a brilliant card from top to bottom."

The boxing fever has even spread to other continents, with an undisputed fight between Canelo Alvarez vs Jaime Munguia on May 4.

Naoya Inoue will also meet Luis Nery in another clash for all-four super-bantamweight belts in Japan.

And Oliver believes in his time in the sport, it is currently enjoying the most fruitful period he has ever seen.

"People are now looking and thinking we need to put the politics aside and making these fights happen after looking over to Saudi," he added.

"We look at what is happening with Canelo in America and Inoue in Japan, everyone wants to get involved.

"The Saudis are even looking to bring it to Britain in September, so it is healthy for the sport all round.

"I'm looking forward to these months with all the big shows, and I have been around for ages and I think it is the best it has ever been."

But it is not just two months with some huge shows planned going forward including Anthony Joshua's potential next fight at a Wembley Stadium show in September.

Saudi boxing chief Alalshikh has even hinted that fans could finally see Joshua's showdown with British rival Fury take place in the next two years.

And Oliver believes there is no reason why it can't happen, with negotiations between every fighters' teams running smoother than ever.

"I just think it has been beneficial for the fighters overall and for the boxing fans," he added.

"I believe that we now get Fury v Joshua and Joshua v Wilder, and this is largely down to this new investment.

"Would we have ever got these before? It can only be a positive!"
