Chennai Super Kings took on Lucknow Super Giants in Match 34 of the ongoing IPL 2024 at the Bharat Ratna Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow on April 19. There is always much hype when CSK travel to other venues, primarily because of MS Dhoni. Fans are thronging to the stadium to witness the legend in person. It was no different in Lucknow as admirers wearing the yellow jerseys ambushed the Chennai team bus which was entering the stadium premises.

CSK pacer, Deepak Chahar took to his social media account to give a glimpse of the fandom. Taken from the team bus, the video shows fans could be seen waving and chanting as the bus made its way through. The clash with LSG is an all-important one as the defending champions will look to move up the order in the points table. While CSK are at third spot in the table, LSG find themselves in the fifth position.

Little bit of nostalgia for me: Ruturaj Gaikwad

Ruturaj Gaikwad hit his first fifty as CSK captain to help his side beat Kolkata Knight Riders by seven wickets and get back to winning ways in IPL 2024. After a string of subpar performances, the fifty ca,e as a respite for Gaikwad. He reminisced the moments from earlier days akin to the aforementioned game,  where he was entrusted by Dhoni as a prominent batter.

"Little bit of nostalgia for me. My first 50 in IPL, Mahi bhai (MS Dhoni) was me and we finished the game. With Jinx injured, it was my responsibility to finish. The wicket was a bit tricky but didn't wanted to put youngster into pressure situations. It was 150-160 wicket if you rotate well and get boundaries. Not a six hitting pitch but a 150-160 pith. It is what we've been following," Ruturaj Gaikwad said at the post-match presentation ceremony.
