Kenya Power has issued a public notice listing areas it has scheduled to interupt power supply on Saturday in Nairobi and Uasin Gishu counties.
The company said this is for purposes of allowing engineers to perform periodic system maintenance on the grid.
Kenya Power said the interruptions will be effected at diverse times between 9am and 5pm in select areas in the two counties.
Areas and facilities to be affected in Nairobi include Malibu Court Madaraka, Kasneb Towers, Geomaps, Part of Kenyatta Hospital, Kemri Kenyatta and Kenyatta Hospital Staff Quarters.
Others are Madina Centre Mosque, Mbaruk Road, Kanjaro Road, Mosiro Road, Sunview East, Golf Course East, Ngumo East, Kibera Amref, Silanga, Laini Saba and adjacent customers.
In the notice issued Friday evening, Kenya Power said Nairobi residents in the whole of South C, the whole of Nairobi West, the whole of Madaraka, part of Langata Road, part of Mbagathi Way and the Total Mbagathi Way will also experience momentary power outage during that period.
Customers around Jonathan Glog, Funguo East, Akila Easts, Wilson Airport and part of Sunshine School have also been notified that power will be out between 9am and 5pm.
Those around Miller East, Oleshapara Avenue, Memon East, Muhoho Avenue, Best Western Hotel and Deliverance Church Langata Road will also be affected, Kenya Power said.
Other parts of Nairobi to experience power interruption are Jonathan Ngeno East, Breeze East, White Star Academy, Freedom Heights, Rubis Petrol Station, Langata Road, Uchumi S/Market, Ngumo East, Part of KNH, Kibera and adjacent customers.
In Uasin Gishu County, Kenya Power said it will be carrying out maintenance works at Aligula Market, Aligula Primary School, Seregeya Market, Mlimani Centre and adjacent customers.
