It's bad news for hopeful Glastonbury goers as the last resale tickets for the 2024 festival have sold out in just 22 minutes.

Fans were left seething with rage last November when all 200,000 of the £355-per-head event sold out completely in less than an hour amid ticket site errors. So some would have been desperate to nab tickets for the event today, though had been told tickets were "very limited".

The general admission tickets were released at 9am this morning, with See Tickets announcing that they had gone by 9.22am. Fans would have had to fork out £20 more this year for tickets compared to 2023's £335, and would have needed to pay a booking fee of £5. Resale tickets are dependent on people not paying the full price of their ticket after putting down a deposit in November.

Heartbroken fans unable to get tickets took to X to share their disappointment, with one writing: "Ah the stress of it. No luck for me. First year since 2007 I won’t be there, but I’ve had my fair share of @glastonbury experiences, it’s someone else’s turn to enjoy the magic this year. #Glastonbury." While another commented: "No joy in #Glastonbury resales. My year won't be the same without it." A third wrote: "No luck for me!!!!! Anyone need a worker for Glastonbury give me a shout!! #Glastonbury @ChrisMoyles @RadioX."

Dua Lipa, Sza and Coldplay will headline the Pyramid stage alongside Shania Twain in the Legend's slot while LCD Soundsytem, Little Simz, Burna Boy, PJ Harvey, Cyndi Lauper, Michael Kiwanuka, Janelle Monae, Seventeen, Paul Heaton, Keane, Paloma Faith, Olivia Dean and Ayra Starr will also take to the famous stage across the five day event.

A surprise name among the line-up is Avril Lavigne, bringing a 00s vibe to Worthy Farm. Other big names taking part include Disclosure, Anne-Marie, Camila Cabello, Jessie Ware, Jamie XX and London Grammar.

Glastonbury fans faced the longest wait for a headliner announcement in over 20 years, but the 2024 line-up has received a very much mixed reaction. Following the long-awaited lineup announcement, some festival-goers have said they regret buying tickets for the weekend. One fumed: "This is probably the worst Glastonbury lineup ever? Where is the variety? It's all pop singers. Dua Lipa headlining? Give me my money back."

"Dear oh dear. That don't impress me much," another joked following the news that Shania Twain will be taking to the stage at Worthy Farm this summer. Speaking on BBC Radio 2, Shania said finally getting to play Glastonbury is a dream come true.

"It's a beautiful feeling. It was never in my mind that I'd ever make it across the border from Canada to go anywhere. It's always been my dream. I'm actually going to Glastonbury," she gushed.

Someone else complained of the lineup: "That's a shocker of a line-up," and another agreed: "Thank God I didn't get tickets. I don't even feel like I'll be missing out on anything." "Dua Lipa, Coldplay and SZA feels like a kick in the teeth after last year’s headliners. C**p really. LCD Soundsystem is good though," another shared. "This may be the worst line up the festival has ever had," another echoed.

Another social media user fumed: "This feels like a Gen Z lineup. What about all the festival-goers who have supported the festival for years and years? There's nothing for us. I feel like selling my tickets now." As someone else argued: "I do love Dua and Coldplay, so I'm happy but it all just feels a bit meh. I understand why people are angry tbh."

However, it wasn't all bad as some fans were delighted to see the likes of Dua and SZA headlining. "This will be the biggest moment of Dua's career. Fair play to her, she's incredible." "Why is everyone being so negative???? Dua Lipa and Coldplay are two of the best-selling singers/bands in the UK. Personally, I'm so excited," another argued.
