Victoria Beckham's lifestyle 'hack' to maintaining her slender physique is available at a major supermarket. Taking to her Instagram Story, the mum-of-four says she takes "a couple of tablespoons" of apple cider vinegar "on an empty tummy" every morning.

In her post, she shared a picture of Bragg’s organic, raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar. A 473ml bottle of the stuff is available at Boots for £6.99.

However, Asda is selling its own bottle for a cheaper price. Asda's Extra Special Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar is on sale for just £2.50.

According to research, apple cider vinegar benefits the body in multiple ways. These include aiding weight loss, potentially reducing cholesterol, lowering blood sugar levels and improving the symptoms of diabetes.

A number of studies on humans have shown apple cider vinegar can boost feelings of fullness, which can help people consume fewer calories and lose weight. One 2024 study found people experienced significant weight loss and lowered body fat ratio, waist and hip circumferences and body mass index after taking three doses of apple cider vinegar for 12 weeks.

One study showed that when taken with a meal, apple cider vinegar suppressed people's appetite for 120 minutes after eating. The participants also snacked less for 3-24 hours after having apple cider vinegar.

The best way to up your intake of apple cider vinegar is to use it in cooking - including adding it to salad dressings. Some people prefer mixing it with water and drinking it as a beverage.

Standard dosages range from 1–2 teaspoons (5–10 mL) to 1–2 tablespoons (15–30 mL) per day mixed in a large glass of water. It’s best to start with small doses and avoid taking large amounts.

Too much vinegar can cause harmful side effects, including tooth enamel erosion and potential drug interactions. Although Victoria takes her apple cider vinegar straight, most experts recommend mixing it with water to prevent tooth enamel erosion. Always speak to your doctor first before making any drastic lifestyle or diet changes.
