Shoppers have been raving about the Very High Protection Cream SPF50+ from French pharmacy brand, Avene, for a while now. The sun cream hit the markets after 20 years of lab research and is said to provide 'flawless, invisible' coverage under makeup
.The non-sticky mineral sun cream features a velvety texture that's easy to apply and can protect and hydrate the skin for up to eight hours. The Very High Protection Cream SPF50+ has been formulated to protect against powerful UVB, UVA and Blue Light HEV rays, which have all been clinically proven to cause sun burn, long-term skin damage and premature ageing, and even skin cancer in some instances.
The sun cream typically retails for £21, but shoppers can pick it up for just £10 for today only (April 23) as part of Boots' weekly £10 Tuesday price drop. At Boots, the Avene Very High Protection Cream SPF50+ has racked up 55 glowing five-star reviews from happy customers.
One shopper said: "Excellent French pharmacy brand, always reliable. Make up does not pill when using this and it does not make my sensitive eyes stream. Plus it's factor 50." A second wrote: "Great buy. My neck has become very sensitive to the sun, this cream is great. It’s easy to apply and not too thick, it sinks in so it can be used under makeup."
A third penned: " This SPF is quite matte and sinks into the skin really well and doesn’t affect the quality of my makeup, which is a huge relief (not all sunscreens can boast the same). I wore it under primer and foundation without any clumping. I thought it was a really good SPF would recommend, five stars."

I usually use a Nivea 50+ and I don’t think there is much difference in the sun protection that they offer. This one just feels smoother."
