Channel 4 confirms return of Paddy McGuinness’ Tempting Fortune – with major shake-up for second series

Who will be able to resist temptation this time around?

CHANNEL 4 has confirmed that reality show Tempting Fortune will be returning to screens for a second series - this time, with ‘added twists.’

Presented by Paddy McGuinness, Tempting Fortune was one of the broadcaster’s most successful new launches last year.

In January, The Sun exclusively revealed that the adventure trek series would be returning for a second run.

This time around, it will see a brand-new batch of contestants dropped into a tropical jungle location.

They will spend a number of days in the wild, provided only with  basic rations and survival gear.

However, their real tests are the temptations thrown at them, which could turn an insect-ridden jungle stay into a trip of a lifetime.

While a substantial cash prize is up for grabs, all of the group must resist the temptation to spend any of it on luxuries along the way to secure their full share.

The first series saw 12 contestants take on the South African wilderness, with ex-pro basketball player James emerging as the ultimate winner.

Paddy said: “Last series was full of backstabbing, betrayal and sheer determination… but this time there are added twists!

“I’m so excited to be back for an even bigger series, putting a new set of brave, daring and cunning contestants into the hot and sticky jungle to see whether anyone can make it to the end without taking my temptations.”

TV bosses described the show as the “smart and mischievous love-child of an adventure series and a reality show”.

Meanwhile, Paddy’s other presenting work includes dating series Take Me Out and game show I Can See Your Voice.
