Coronation Street spoilers for next week have revealed a new love interest for Adam Barlow.
Soap fans will recall that Adam was left heartbroken last year when he discovered wife Sarah Barlow had been cheating on him with local bad boy Damon Hay with the two since getting a divorce. Meanwhile, only recently, Alya Nazir impressed Rich from Fabian's in Adam's place and he was very impressed with her skills.
Rich told her that he was impressed with her knowledge and she has the skills to go all the way as a future partner in the firm. Alya decided she wanted to work for Rich and accepted a job offer. Since then, Adam and Dee-Dee have been left struggling without Alya helping to keep things organised, especially after Adam got an email from a client to say they're transferring all their business to Fabian.
Spoilers for next week reveal that Alya calls at the solicitors for a client file to find Adam struggling with the admin. It's not long until Adam suggests they pull out of the joint work they're doing with Fabian's to which Dee-Dee Bailey accuses him of being petty, ordering him to suck it up and get on with the filing.
Later in the week, Rich and Alya arrive for their meeting with Adam to which the latter is left taken aback to learn that Alya is going to work in Dublin. In an attempt to impress Alya, Adam hands them a summary of the case.
It's not long until Adam and Alya work together on the joint case to which they share a smile before quickly looking away. Finally, Adam admits his feelings to Alya and the pair kiss. Yet in true soap style, Rich calls at the office just in time to find them in a clinch. What will he say and could this ruin Alya's Dublin opportunity?
It comes as Alya could depart the cobbles in upcoming episodes as actress Sair Khan is pregnant with her first child and is expected to take maternity leave soon. Sair previously shared her excitement that her and her partner Nathan Chilton were welcoming a baby.
She wrote: "Life can be difficult and there’ll always be challenges to face but there are also important lessons to be learnt and gifts to be cherished. We’re so excited for the arrival of Baby Chilton in Spring 2024."
