A teacher stabbed in the neck during an attack at a Welsh secondary school is “quite seriously hurt” after being stabbed four times but has returned home to recover, her husband has told The Times.
Liz Hopkin, 53, a special needs teacher at Amman Valley School in Ammanford, Carmarthenshire, was attacked before a female pupil was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder for allegedly stabbing two teachers and a female pupil on Wednesday morning. The schoolgirl, believed to be in Year 9, remains in custody.
Hopkin’s husband, John, said she had been discharged from hospital to rest at home. He did not know how long the recovery process would take.
