Belfast Health and Social Care Trust is currently recruiting for caring, compassionate and committed nurses and social workers to join the Community Mental Health Team in their Older Peoples Service.

The Service works with people over the age of 65, who have a mental illness diagnosis, as well as people of any age who have a dementia diagnosis, to facilitate recovery and support.

Band 6 Social Worker opportunities and Band 5 & Band 6 Nursing opportunities are available.

The main responsibilities in each role are:

  • Assessing and implementing a comprehensive care plan to a group of patients with different mental illnesses to meet their needs and support the needs of their carers

  • Help patients understand their diagnosis and implement various supports that will help them with their mental illness journey

  • Prepare written reports for internal and external use, maintaining accurate records and statistical data

For interested nurses, there is also a new and exciting fast-track pathway from Band 5 to Band 6 on offer.
