A mother and her 4-year-old daughter were found dead in a Town ‘N Country home on Tuesday in what Hillsborough deputies said appears to be a suicide case.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office received a call about 8:10 p.m. from a concerned friend of the woman and responded to the 11000 block of Bloomington Drive, according to a news release and information provided by a sheriff’s office spokesperson. Deputies found the bodies of the woman and her daughter inside a home there.

The cause of death of the woman and child had not been confirmed Wednesday but investigators believe the woman died by suicide. Deputies said an autopsy would determine how the child died.

“My heart breaks for the family and friends whose lives are forever altered by this tragedy,” Sheriff Chad Chronister said in a statement included in the news release. “I plead with everyone, please don’t make a permanent decision in a temporary situation. When it comes to mental health, we have so many resources to help anyone in crisis. I urge if you need help, please reach out. You are never alone.”
