A GLASGOW singer who was given a "life-changing" sum of money by US rapper Post Malone to buy a house said he nearly missed out on the cash due to a bank blunder.

We told previously how bar entertainer Gregor Hunter Coleman met the global superstar in popular city centre pub Wunderbar last year.

The American singer stopped by Wunderbar after his show at the Hydro in May 2023.

But once Gregor had finished playing his 'amazing' set, he was invited over to meet the Better Now star who offered to pay Gregor to play at his after party that night.

But Gregor said he would gladly perform for free and politely declined the offer of a beer as he was “off the drink” to save up for a house.

This lead the 'Rock Star' rapper to insist on giving him money to help towards his goal.

One year on, Gregor has revealed on TikTok that he managed to buy his first home after Post Malone came through on his promise.

However, he did almost miss out on the £10,000 offer from Post, after he entered the wrong bank details into his phone.

He said: “I was nervous sitting next to Post Malone so put one of my details in wrong.

"So after about two months of me checking my bank every day and it still wasn’t through.

“I messaged his manager and right enough I’d put a digit in wrong, so he ended up sending us a cheque.

“He said he’d give us ten grand and after all the fees came off we got it. It came in two days before we needed to show proof.”

Sharing a picture of keys and a back of removal truck, Gregor added: “I never did a follow up on this, we are now in and settled and still think about this crazy story every day.”

He also shared a screenshot of a conversation with Post Malone’s team who he thanked for “keeping their word”.

He added: “It honestly couldn’t have all happened at a more perfect time!

" I had my head screwed on and was so set in not drinking/partying until we had our wee house.”
