A new barbershop opened Tuesday at San Diego City College with a mission of supporting Black and Brown male students. Any male student can receive a free haircut by professional barbers, who are volunteering their time. The barbershop, Fresh Cutz, does more that cut hair. It also connects students with support services, such as counseling and financial aid, the college said. The new shop has three barber stations, a sitting area, arcade games, TV, and music. Fresh Cutz will be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. every Monday and Tuesday, by appointment only.
