A main road in Wigan is closed off this morning after a crash involving a motorbike.
The A577 Orrell Road in the Orrell area is currently closed off in both directions, according to traffic alert service Inrix. It is shut near the Raj Gate Indian restaurant, close to the road's junction with Greenford Close.
Traffic is being diverted around the closure. A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police said officers were called to the road-traffic collision at around 4.45am this morning.

The crash involved a motorbike. No further details on any injuries or any other vehicles involved have been released at this stage.

NWAS: Man taken to hospital with 'potentially serious injuries'
A spokesperson for NWAS said paramedics were called to the scene at around 4.27am.
A man aged in his 20s was taken to hospital with 'potentially serious injuries'.
