The Owls' 3-1 victory at Blackburn moved them out of the relegation zone with two matches to play - Albion at Hillsborough on Saturday and mid-table Sunderland at the Stadium of Light on the final day.
The hosts head into this weekend's clash with the Baggies on a four-game unbeaten run (W2, D2), while on home soil, Wednesday boast a record of just one defeat from their last 9 fixtures in all competitions.
The Yorkshire outfit, who sit one point and one place above Birmingham City in 22nd, are managed by 34-year-old German Danny Rohl.
This job is Rohl's first in management having held coaching positions at RB Leipzig, Southampton, Bayern Munich and the German national team. He was appointed in the middle of October and has completely turned Sheffield Wednesday's season around, injecting energy and passion into their performances, while also adding precious points to their tally.
Rohl, who turns 35 on Sunday, will be hoping for an early birthday present when Carlos Corberán brings his team to town, with Wednesday knowing three points against Albion would give their chances of staying in the second tier a monumental boost.
