Oscar De La Hoya has blasted Eddie Hearn on social media this week.

The two rival promoters are often forced into an uneasy alliance as they both have output deals with the same broadcaster - DAZN.

Last weekend saw an example of this as De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions staged Devin Haney vs Ryan Garcia.

Hearn's Matchroom helped with the promotion on Haney's side, having previously represented him for several fights.

However, Garcia emerged victorious, much to the delight of De La Hoya.

The pre-fight build-up caused tensions to rise, which was evident when Hearn clashed with Ryan's father Henry Garcia after the result.

And now, De La Hoya has also fired shots at the British promoter.

Hearn posted a picture of himself and Haney on Instagram with the caption: "The road is long. This young man will be back stronger than ever! @RealDevinHaney."

In a surprising move, De La Hoya commented: "You obviously never laced up the gloves. Just like Don King and the rest.

"You don’t know what it’s like to fight inside a ring. Guess what? I do, and that beating will last for a while."

Hearn's next Instagram post came after he was part of the press conference announcing Terence Crawford vs Israil Madrimov on Wednesday.

Again, De La Hoya left a comment: "Eddie, for the sake of British Boxing just stay in the UK and promote, leave the real promoters to the US market where boxing matters.

"You had your opportunity wasting away hundreds of millions of dollars building nothing in the US."

Hearn then fired back: "@OscarDeLaHoya genuinely are you ok? You stalk me like a crazed fan.

"You had a great win on Saturday yet I consume your mind 24/7.

"Unfortunately for you, I am a global promoter with 18 world Champions (you have four).

"I have big plans to work with everyone to grow the sport globally and have some fantastic talent in the US market.

"Genuinely wish you all the best and hope you can enjoy what you do."

And on Wednesday night, Haney took to social media for a post of his own.

He wrote on Instagram: "First off I wanna say.. Alhamdulillah Allah is the perfect planner and I trust his plan no matter what.

"I came up short but this boxing, and if anyone knows me they know that I am a true competitor, and always wanted to test my skills against the best fighters in the world.

"Ryan, despite the circumstances was victorious that night and that’s fine. I do feel like weight played a role in it but only Allah knows.

"I would love to run it back and give the fans a FAIR fight within an agreed weight.

"With that being said, I am currently enjoying time with my family and friends as well as making up my days of Ramadan.

"Thank you to all my supporters and everyone involved in making this event happen. After I finish making up my days of Ramadan I will tell you guys what’s next!

"I appreciate everyone that has reached out I am overwhelmed with love! I will be back better then ever InshaAllah

"Thank you Oscar and Golden Boy, Eddie Hearn and all of Matchroom, DAZN, Mauricio and the WBC, and all of DHP [for a] great night of boxing Alhamdulillah."
