The LIV tour is still proving itself in the golf world.

But one hole in Australia is already a big winner.

With LIV returning to Adelaide's Grange Golf Club this weekend, golfers and fans are already looking forward to seeing the 12th hole in action again.

It's better known as the 'Watering Hole' and is advertised as one of the most 'raucous arenas you’ll find anywhere in golf.'

“I smelled like beer the whole entire rest of the day,” Chase Koepka, who nailed a hole-in-one there in 2023 said. “It was wild. Crazy experience."

The 12th is a 165-yard hole surrounded by 5,000 fans, who are a combination of general admission ticket holders and hospitality tent invitees.

LIV intentionally tries to be different, separating itself from the classic PGA Tour with a more fan-friendly playing environment and increased on-course interaction.

The 'Watering Hole' is peak LIV.

"It’s a continuous wave of energy, surging right round the playing area," the tournament said.

That was definitely the case in April 2023, after Koepka hit a sweet shot that perfectly rolled into the cup.

He slammed his club down in an instant celebration, then beer -- and empty beer cups -- started flying across and littering the course.

The 'Watering Hole' atmosphere had much more in common with the infamous partying at the Waste Management Phoenix Open than the buttoned-down Masters.

That's exactly the vibe that LIV is trying to create while holding a rare big golf event in Australia.

"Day I’ll never forget," Koepka tweeted. "Thanks Adelaide for making this one special!"
