The best pictures from Welsh Varsity 2024 as 10,000 attend big match in Swansea

Swansea and Cardiff's student population descended on the Swansea.com stadium for an epic day of Varsity action.

In the iconic university tradition, the cities' rugby teams were pitted against one another at the home of Ospreys, with women's and men's games taking place.

The event took place in Cardiff last year, so it's the first time it's been held in Swansea since 2022. It's the country's biggest student sporting event by some distance, and is the biggest day of the year for those involved. Most events, bar rugby, took place at Swansea Bay Sports Park.

The Cardiff University women's team won their game 12-71, but Swansea University pulled one back in the men's match with a 44-28 win.

Friends and housemates from far and wide attended the ground, with a fantastic attendance of more than 10,000 at the main event on Wednesday night.
