Boots is selling a new No7 product just in time for summer that shoppers are loving. With summer just around the corner, having a decent SPF for your face is vital.

No7 has released a new SPF product that even staff members are urging people to buy. The No7 Future Renew UV Defence Shield Defence Shield SPF 50 is £23.70, at the time of writing. Designed to not just protect the skin from UV damage but also offer moisturisation, this product isn’t the first of its kind but is a lightweight version that is fast-absorbing and leaves no white cast behind.

On the Boots website, the product listing states: "No7 Future Renew™ Defence Shield UV SPF 50 is expertly developed to help protect against visible signs of sun damage.”

“This lightweight, invisible No7 finish formula leaves skin looking and feeling hydrated, while helping to provide a defence shield against UV in sunlight. Formulated with our highest & and lightest SPF 50 sun protection, age-defying peptide technology, and hydrating Sodium Hyaluronate.”

Shoppers have taken to the review section on the Boots website to share their thoughts, and with an overall star rating of 4.6 from over 80 reviews, they seem to be loving the product. One customer wrote: “This is lovely silky cream that's absorbed instantly, looks good so far but obviously will not know the true results until time has passed but I would highly recommend what I have found so far.”

A second, who also works at Boots, said: “I bought this when it launched due to having amazing results using previous future renew products!!!! This did not disappoint. No white cast or greasiness and a great base for my makeup. My skin looks glowy all day and so many people compliment my skin. Run, don't walk!”

Another, who left a five-star review, wrote: “Used this for a month instead of my regular face creams. So glad I just used this, my skin is very dry and I didn't need to reapply creams. I love having the full SPF protection and my face is moisturised. No7 has come out with another great product.”

And a fourth added: “Lightweight and leaves skin feeling fresh. It goes on really nicely and smooth and is great on my sensitive skin. I used it in the morning daily and just used it instead of my normal moisturiser - my makeup went on nicely on top.”

Despite many loving the product, some shoppers weren’t happy. One said: “Almost perfect but it stings my eyes. This product could easily get five stars from me, it's really good until it doesn't, that is, a 3-5 hour application.”

And a second wrote: “Bought this a week ago. First time I used it my face went red and puffy and my eyes stung. I’ve bought and used the future renew damage cream daily and had no issues as with all no7 face products but the sp50 is the only cream to give me a reaction.. won’t use it again.”

If you’re looking to buy a new SPF for your daily skincare routine but don’t fancy spending over £20 then Superdrug has another option that shoppers have been loving for a while. The Revitalift Clinical Vitamin C UV Fluid SPF 50+ from L'Oréal will cost shoppers £19.95 from Superdrug and can be used alongside moisturiser or on its own to protect the skin barrier.
