Katie Price has confessed that she thinks she may be perimenopausal after experiencing some recent symptoms.
The former glamour model, who turns 46 next month, opened up about her health on her latest podcast episode alongside her younger sister Sophie. During the episode, mum-of-five Katie revealed that she has been experiencing bloating out of nowhere and has also been suffering from brain fog.
During the end of The Katie Price Show podcast episode, the famous sisters read out some questions from their listeners and fans. One particular fan questioned whether Katie could be going through menopause having experienced similar symptoms herself.
The email from the listener read: "Katie, you mentioned feeling bloated and having memory problems. Have you considered that you might be perimenopausal? I've been suffering similar symptoms and they have been gradually worsening since I turned 42. I am now 46. I have never suffered from anxiety before, but my anxiety now is at an all time high. I was always jumbled up, couldn't think straight, and had an inability to remember things - among other symptoms."
In response to the listener's email, Katie agreed that she is of the age to be experiencing such symptoms. "Do you know what, I am at the age of perimenopause. I turn 46 in May so it might be that. I'm still having my periods and stuff, so I'm not in the menopause yet, but yeah, obviously I am at that age. Oh my God, how scary."
Katie then went on to reveal that her friend is currently going through it, and has ordered specific drinks to help with bloating. Katie told her friend that she would consume the drinks too in a bid to see if they help her bloating in any way.
The star, who has made it no secret that she wants to have a sixth bab, recently insisted she is not pregnant but was experiencing what she called pregnancy symptoms, including a bloated stomach.
Last year, Katie revealed she had been going through IVF treatment but had not been successful with the treatment. She shares her eldest, Harvey, 21, with former footballer Dwight Yorke, son Junior, 18, daughter Princess, 16, with her first husband Peter Andre, son Jett, 10, and daughter Bunny, nine, with ex-husband Kieran Hayler.
