Strictly Come Dancing star Ellie Taylor has landed an incredible new TV role alongside Idris Elba.

The 40-year-old actor and comedian took part in the 2022 series of the BBC dance competition. She is also known for her appearances on Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, The Mash Report and The Great Pottery Throwdown. She most recently appeared on Big Zuu's Big Eats and The Wheel in 2023.

And now, the star has taken on the role of Agent Willoughby in the new Paramount+ miniseries Knuckles, which is based on the Sonic the Hedgehog video game series. Idris reprised his voice role as Knuckles while Adam Pally reprised his role as Wade Whipple.

Ellie is an agent working for 'The Buyer', who seeks to obtain Knuckles' power. Other stars in the show include Kid Cudi, Rory McCann, Julian Barratt, Stockard Channing, Edi Patterson and Cary Elwes. Ellie took to her social media to share her excitement over the series with a photo of her as Agent Willoughby.

Her character rocked a great bob with bangs and held up a gun as she wore a button-up shirt and a black tie. She captioned the post: "So excited that Knuckles drops on Friday on @paramountplus! Such ace family viewing - I can’t wait to watch the series with my little girl and ask her leading questions about how kool I am.

"Yes, I DO do some stunts and have a fight with @idriselba * - jeez guys stop going on about itttt. *yes, Idris is a CGI echidna but don’t be petty." Fans were delighted with the news and rushed to the comment section to congratulate the comedian on her new role.

One user posted: "Omg! This is going to be awesome!" and another user posted: "We are all witnesses. Idris used the actual words “my favourite” and “best” when talking about you. Actually feel quite emotional on your behalf." One friend posted: "You look incredible!!!! Can't wait to watch."

"I have no idea what is happening but it looks amazing," one confused pal wrote. In the same post, she shared an interview done with Idris, where he listened to his co-stars' impressions of his character. And it turns out, Idris said Ellie's impression of him was 'his favourite'. The series is being released on Friday, with all six episodes being released at the same time.
