Getting your nails done can be a real treat, with many opting for simple designs such as French tips, and others preferring to participate in the maximalist trend with bold colours and patterns - but one person's mani was far from the norm, and many said they were scared when the picture was shared.

Some said that they were "terrified" by the aesthetic of the nails, and some even compared them to "teeth", warning the person who got the mani not to run their nails along anything as they'd get "caught" on any material.

Taking to Reddit's 'Blursed Images' forum, which means blessed or cursed, many were quick to say the nails were indeed "cursed", as they were not a fan of the quirky design - but it wasn't clear whether the nails belonged to the original poster, or not.

In the comments of the nail photo, one penned: "Those will be gone about three hours into sleep tonight. The original poster will wake up furious that they are catching on everything and can't sleep." Another added: "Imagine sliding these nails across a sheet", to which replies included, "f**k you" and "My body just folded itself just by thinking about it".

"My back is so itchy all of a sudden", someone joked, but another Redditor pointed out that scratching yourself with these nails wouldn't be the best idea in the world, sharing: "Imagine you wanna scratch a sensitive part of your body, but you forget you got these, especially on your eyes."

One praised them, however, saying that they were better than "super long nails" that many women opt to get when they're in the salon chair, but another said they'd be "quickly destroyed".

"The moment one of those 'teeth' catches on something and the nail begins to split you are going to realise 'this was not a good investment of my time and now I need a bandage because it's bleeding'...", someone warned. Another described the nails as "gross", with someone saying they were "physically uncomfortable" looking at them.
