SPY x FAMILY CODE: White is the first movie in the SPY x FAMILY franchise, which has quickly become one of the most popular anime series worldwide.

The story follows spy master Loid Forger as he tries to maintain peace between rival nations while pretending to have a normal family life with his fake wife Yor (who secretly works as an assassin) and his five-year-old adopted daughter Anya (who often wreaks havoc as a telepath).

In the movie, a weekend family trip turns into a high-stakes adventure when Anya's curiosity gets her involved in a dangerous plot to start a war between the nations of Westalis and Ostania.

How to watch SPY x FAMILY CODE: White right now

SPY x FAMILY CODE: White is out now in cinemas in the UK and Ireland (from April 26). It's a limited release, though, so make sure you catch it as soon as possible.

The film first premiered in cinemas in Japan on December 22, 2023, and it has been landing in dozens of countries around the world since then, including the US on April 19, 2024 (distributed by Crunchyroll).

Although its global release is still underway, the movie has already grossed over $50 million. It's been very well received by critics and audiences too, with 96% and 98% ratings on Rotten Tomatoes.

Right now, going to the cinema is the only way to watch the movie. Fans will have to wait a little bit longer to watch it at home.

When will SPY x FAMILY CODE: White be available to stream?

When SPY x FAMILY CODE: White finishes its theatrical run, it will be available to watch at home.

The movie will probably be available to rent or buy on Amazon, iTunes and other digital retailers soon, but a digital release date has not been confirmed yet.

Eventually, the movie will also be available to stream on Crunchyroll.

Although there isn't a Crunchyroll release date confirmed either, we can look at recent examples in order to take a good guess.

Demon Slayer: To The Hashira Training was released in cinemas last February, and it has now landed a streaming release on Crunchyroll on May 12. That's a three-month window between theatrical and streaming releases.

This means SPY x FAMILY CODE: White could be available to stream on Crunchyroll in July 2024.
