Chloe Burrows revealed in a new documentary that she faked a romance with reality star Harry Johnson in hopes of earning money.

The Love Island star rose to fame on the ITV2 reality programme and previously dated Toby Aromoloran, with the two coming in second place in the show. The couple split two years ago, and since then, she went on to investigate celebrity couples and how they earn money from their romances.

Her Channel 4 documentary, Love In The Limelight: UNTOLD, saw her investigate how staged pap shots earned some couples money. She talked to Love Island couples Millie Court and Liam Riardon and Cara De La Hoyde and Nathan Massey who revealed they stage some arguments to earn cash from paparazzi shots.

Chloe then decided to fake her own romance after hearing she could earn up to £250,000 per year. She set up several staged moments with Too Hot To Handle star Harry, with the duo recently being pictured enjoying food and drinks together in Waltham Forest.

"Now I've heard how it all works and the big money involved, I want to put it to the test, it's time to launch my own showmance," she said in the programme. "If I really was going to be serious, that is so easy to make money off. You can start to see the web of finances that can go behind a reality couple."

Putting her plan into action, Chloe and Harry met with celebrity agent Dave Read, who told them they could have a 'lucrative future'. After urging them to set up shots of the pair ring-shopping of house-hunting, he added: "There's no reason that between you in one year you couldn't bank a quarter of a million pounds."

Fans praised the documentary and Chloe was overwhelmed by the positive reaction. She shared a selfie while crying and wrote: "Crying happy tears in the back of this cab cos I'm already overwhelmed by the response. Love u lot xxxx. P.S. I know I said I'd never post a vid crying but happy tears are allowed!"

She also shared a few snaps from behind-the-scenes of the documentary on her grid, writing: "GUYS!!! Cannot believe I’m writing this but today marks the launch of my first documentary with @channel4 Untold strand where I explore what life is like for some of our most well-known reality couples living out their romances in the public eye.

"Oh yes…and those paparazzi picture you saw of me and @harryjohnson92 lurking around the press might be part of the plot too!!! / massive huge part… faked a whole showmance!!! Huge thank you to the amazing team at @flickerproductions for supporting me from start to finish on this one, I couldn’t have done it without you!"
