Suri Cruise just wore a very 'Joey Potter' outfit that her mother would be proud of

Katie Holmes' daughter, who just turned 18, is a true reflection of her mother in so many ways, but few catch our attention more than their shared sense of style.

But while her latest look might be slightly less Katie, it is distinctly reminiscent of a certain Joey Potter; the iconic role played by her mother in Dawson's Creek. Of course she adds her own touches, combining it with a chunky belted sweater and cowboy boots.

We can confirm that cowboy boots are very much still in this season. That is, as long as the in-between season allows us to wear them without being too hot (although, looking at the forecast, we may be dreaming that that'll ever be a predicament). Suri Cruise's take on the boot trend is a super relaxed one, opting for a flatter, more worn-in vintage-feeling look.

The sweater is super oversized, with wide sleeves and a scooped boat neck, and benefits from some smart belt cinching. Pairing it with the star of the look, the Joey Potter skirt, Suri elevates the look and gives it a nostalgic, nineties spin.

We love that utilitarian, almost Normcore look that she's giving with her relaxed styling. Having clearly learned from the best, it's clear that Suri Cruise is much more ahead of the game than we were as teenagers in understanding when less is most definitely more in fashion.
