ANDREW and Tristan Tate will stand trial as part of an ongoing rape and human trafficking probe in Romania.

The disgraced brothers were arrested in 2022 and charged with human trafficking, rape and forming an organised crime group to sexually exploit women.

Andrew, 37, and Tristan, 35, were arrested in December 2022, but formally indicted in June last year.

Today, a court ruled a trial would go ahead, Tate's spokesperson exclusively confirmed to The Sun.

The Bucharest Tribunal ruled that the evidence against the pair met the legal criteria for a trial but did not set a date for it to begin.

The decision had been postponed dragging on the proceedings against the former kickboxers for almost a year.

The Tates' representatives say they have already filed an appeal against the ruling, calling it "unlawful".

Both brothers deny all the charges against them.

Trafficking of adults carries a prison sentence of up to 10 years, as does rape.

Today's ruling means the brothers' extradition to the UK will now be delayed.

In March, a Romanian court ruled that the pair, who are both dual UK-US nationals, could be extradited to Britain on a European arrest warrant once legal proceedings against them in Romania wrap up.

The controversial brothers have been accused of 10 allegations of rape and sexual assault from three alleged victims in the UK.

In Romania, Andrew and Tristan are accused of recruiting women on social media platforms and luring them to their villa on the outskirts of Bucharest.

Both men are alleged to have pretended to fall in love with the women before getting them to work for their business and making them perform sexual acts on webcams.

Two Romanian female suspects - model Georgiana Naghel and former cop Luana Radu - were also formally charged.

The four were released on house arrest in August last year.

Ioan Gliga, attorney for Andrew and Tristan, declared: "We reassert our belief in the fairness of the arguments we presented...we are confident that the appeal court judge panel will support us."

Adrian Sandulescu, the attorney for Luana Radu and Georgiana Naghel, remarked: "The decision is unlawful and without foundation."

Disgraced influencer Andrew and his brother lived under judicial control - similar to bail - pending their long-awaited trial.

It meant they were free to leave their homes, but not the country.

The Tate brothers have made several desperate attempts to ditch Romania for the UK.

Last December, the brothers tried to request an "emergency visit" to see their sick mum in the UK - but were shot down.

The troubled pair also lost their bid weeks ago to get back £10million worth of assets, including 15 luxury cars, seized by Romanian cops in January of last year.

In March, the brothers were arrested again in Romania over allegations of sexual aggression in the UK that date back to 2012 and 2015.

Dozens of cops descended on the brothers' Romanian home to haul them to court after Bedfordshire Police obtained two European arrest warrants.

They "categorically reject" all new charges.

Both brothers could face life sentences, the insiders claimed.

Andrew has repeatedly claimed that prosecutors in Romania have no evidence against him and that there is a political conspiracy to silence him.

He believes he is the victim of something called The Matrix.

The self-described misogynist has gained millions of fans by promoting an ultra-masculine lifestyle that critics say denigrates women.

He once said women should "bear some responsibility" for being raped not long after allegations were made against disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.

Andrew has been removed from X on several occasions and in January last year, the social media site said an account he'd created on the platform was "verified in error".

He runs his own online network called "The War Room" which has been described as an "exclusive online network for men".
