'Congestion now clear'
Until recently traffic was still being batched through the Conwy Tunnel. But all road management has now been lifted and the westbound A55 is back running smoothly. The A470 through Glan Conwy is also clear.

Travel times
It's still not great but there are signs of improvement. AA Roadwatch has given updates on the latest travel times on the affected westbound section between Colwyn Bay and Penmaenmawr.
- Delays of four minutes between J21 B5113 Victoria Avenue, Colwyn Bay and J19 A470 Black Cat roundabout for Glan Conwy / Llandudno Junction). Average speed 15mph.
- Delays of six minutes and delays increasing between J18 and J17 Conwy Morfa. Average speed 25mph.

'40-minute delays'
Spoke too soon? Traffic Wales is currently reporting delays of "40 minutes", with batching of traffic still in place through Conwy Tunnel.
While travel websites indicate delays of half this time, they do suggest an improving picture, though this may be due to the amount of traffic diverting off the A55.

Delays easing but still '21-minute delays'
There are now signs the congestion is starting to ease.
Traffic monitoring sites say westbound A55 drivers are still experiencing "severe delays of 21 minutes" to get past the scene of this afternoon's crash.
However AA Roadwatch says the tailbacks are now "easing" with average speeds rising 15mph.
Road sensors indicate traffic is starting to move more freely but it will take a while to clear the congestion.
A470 traffic through Glan Conwy appears a little better now too - but there's still congestion.
Worsening picture
It's not a pretty picture on the local network. This afternoon's crash, on the westbound A55 beyond Penmaenbach Tunnel, is causing wider congestion on the area's roads.
There's now slow-moving traffic all the way back to Old Colwyn, congesting side roads as drivers seek alternative routes. One main casualty is the A470, with heavy traffic now trying to get through Glan Conwy.
'15-minute delays'
AA Roadwatch has confirmed that drivers approaching the Conwy Tunnel are facing long delays.
Severe delays of 15 minutes and delays increasing on A55 North Wales Expressway Westbound in Conwy.
Average speed 10mph.
Further west, beyond Penmaenbach Tunnel, the delays are reported to be "two minutes"
Tunnel 'batching'
Earlier, traffic was held at Conwy tunnel to enable emergency services to access the scene. of the crash.
As one lane remains closed in the area, causing significant congestion, traffic is being batched through Penmaenbach tunnel.
