Not the first outage this week

An angry Downdetector user and Metronet customer said that they had trouble with their service earlier this week.

"For the past week, constantly, the internet goes down for hours at a time," the user said four days ago, ahead of the current outage. "For $80 a month I expect better."

One Metronet customer has reached out to the company on X, formerly known as Twitter, to see if the outage is affecting everyone in their area.

"Is there an outage in the 28304 area?" the customer asked.

The 28304 area is located near Fayetteville, North Carolina, where multiple customers are facing an outage per Downdetector's heat map.

Reports begin to dwindle

User reports of issues have begun to slow, according to Downdetector.
