Former Ospreys fly-half Luke Price was late for Bridgend's Indigo Premiership clash with Llandovery on Thursday after being stuck in the lanes in his tractor.

To cap it all off, the outside-half had recently been out of the game with an injury picked up after a cow kicked him in the arm.

Bridgend fell to a heavy 62-13 defeat at Church Bank, with Llandovery's nine-try win sealing their place at the top of the table.

However, the visitors weren't helped by the late arrival of former Wales U20s fly-half Price, who played 64 times for the Ospreys in seven years before a spell in France with Valance.

23 minutes into the match, with the score 10-3 to Llandovery, Bridgend coach and former Wales international Bradley Davies was interviewed by S4C about the whereabouts of Price, who had been due to start.

"The problem is when you're outside-half is a farmer," answered Davies, as the camera cut to picture of Price walking through the ground. "Outside-halves used to have Ferraris, but our one has got a tractor.

"He says he was stuck in the lanes. But it is what it is. He's parked his tractor up on the bank now and he's on the bench."

If Price's late arrival after being stuck in his tractor wasn't enough, then Davies was about to divulge more information about the farmer’s son from Three Crosses in Swansea.

Price, who came on in the second-half for his impromptu replacement Jamin Hodgkins, had recently been out of the game with an injury picked up on the farm.

"That's correct," added Davies. "It's not the ideal situation when your 10 has got his hand up a cow's bottom and has then been kicked in the arm. You couldn't write it, really."
