Leeds United (4-2-3-1)

1 Illan Meslier

Deflection on the first goal made it a touch more difficult for Meslier, but you would have wanted to see him get a little closer to it when hit from that range. The defence let him down on the second. Lets the ball through his legs for the third goal. 3

25 Sam Byram

Ilias Chair had him on toast all evening. Never seemingly got to grips with him and the early yellow card summed up how far away he was. Some neat interplay at times with Wilfried Gnonto, but nowhere near enough ingenuity to consistently hurt the hosts. 3

14 Joe Rodon

Just about dealt with his bread and butter in the air when QPR went long to Lyndon Dykes, but he was among the shaky ones in the opening 30 minutes. No glaring role in either of the early concessions. 4

4 Ethan Ampadu (c)

One of those who didn't get to grips with QPR's intensity at all in the first half. Improved after the break and became a steadying force as the last man in desperate circumstances. 4

3 Junior Firpo

The one attacking threat with any degree of consistency. Raids down the left were decent and crosses deserved better receivers in the middle. Not perfect at the back, but brought some hope in attack. 6

44 Ilia Gruev

Arguably his poorest showing in Leeds colours. A million miles away from giving the defence the protection they needed, especially from the lively Chair. Zero presence in the engine room. 2

22 Archie Gray

Meek, bullied and brought no kind of authority to the middle of the park, which was owned by Jack Colback and the hosts. 3

29 Wilfried Gnonto

No joy in anything he tried. 3

24 Georginio Rutter

Had been presented with the early chances of the second half that suggested a comeback may be possible, but the finishes weren't there. Nothing came off for him and he did not hold onto the ball for long enough in the home half. 3

10 Crysencio Summerville

First-half efforts were easy for Begovic to stop. Nullified and his body language spoke volumes on an evening their top-two hopes were virtually ended. 3

7 Joel Piroe

Has not been a factor on the field for Leeds in months. Another night he was chosen ahead of Mateo Joseph and his superior experience brought nothing to the match. Team-mates visibly frustrated with him. 2
