I’ll never forget how much losing an 11-point lead against Limerick in 2001 haunted us Waterford players. We stewed all winter about the glorious opportunity that slipped through our hands.

We had a Munster final in our grasp and suddenly it was gone. There was no second chance back then and we didn’t get to right any wrongs until 2002, so Clare should be glad that they can quickly go again.
