Fans on Twitter reacted after Delhi Capitals (DC) defeated Mumbai Indians (MI) in the 43rd game of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024. They won the game by just 10 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Saturday (27th April).

Delhi Capitals won the toss and it was a Jake Fraser-McGurk (84) show with the bat upfront as he went after Mumbai Indians bowlers right from the start, ensuring his team gets a brutal start in power play at the Arun Jaitley stadium in Delhi. 

The Australia batter added a 114-run opening partnership with Abishek Porel (37) as Delhi Capitals made Mumbai Indians bowlers look clueless. Shai Hope (41) and Rishabh Pant (29) played vital hands for the team in the middle and made sure they got runs quickly. 

Tristan Stubbs (48) in the end finished the innings on high. Based on the sensational effort with the bat, Delhi Capitals posted a gigantic total of 257/4. For Mumbai Indians, Jasprit Bumrah was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of 1/35. 

In the chase, Mumbai Indians didn’t have a great outing with the bat. They first lost Rohit Sharma (8) and after that wickets fell quickly. Ishan Kishan (20) and Suryakumar Yadav (26) perished after starts as Mumbai Indians were left tottering at 65/3 

After that, Tilak Varma and skipper Hardik Pandya (46) kept the team in the hunt with their 71-run stand but Rasikh Salam brought his team back in with two wickets in one over. It seemed that Delhi Capitals would close the game perfectly. 

But there was a twist in the tale again as Tim David (37) along with Varma (63) brought Mumbai Indians back into the game. The left-hander gave his best and took the match to the last over but unfortunately got run out as Mumbai fell short of 10 runs. For Delhi, Rasikh Salam was the pick of the bowlers with his figures of three for 34.
