Jamie Carragher has weighed in on the disagreement between Mohamed Salah and Jurgen Klopp during Liverpool's draw with West Ham.

The Reds were held to a 2-2 draw with the Hammers at the London Stadium to lose further ground in the Premier League title race. Liverpool are now level on points with Manchester City, who have two games in hand, and one point behind leaders Arsenal, who have a game in hand.

Klopp opted not to start Salah in the game in East London, with the Reds boss opting to go with a front three of Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo, and Harvey Elliott. Klopp decided to introduce Salah to the game in the 79th minute, when the score was 2-2 at the London Stadium.

As Salah was preparing to be introduced, Klopp appeared to give one final instruction to the Egyptian, which prompted a response from the Liverpool forward. Salah appeared to be visibly frustrated after Klopp's remarks, with fellow substitutes Darwin Nunez and Joe Gomez helping put a stop to the disagreement.

Carragher has given his reaction to the heated exchange between Klopp and Salah. The former Liverpool defender gave his theory as to why the pair may have had a disagreement.

"The only reason a manager would be unhappy in this situation, is the player took too long to be ready to come on," wrote Carragher on X, formerly known as Twitter, while replying to a video featuring the argument between Klopp and Salah.

Liverpool conceded the first goal against West Ham in the first half, with Jarrod Bowen scoring for the home side. The Reds responded with a strike from Andy Robertson and an Alphonse Areola own goal in the second half, before Michail Antonio equalised to see Liverpool drop more points in the title race.
