Marks and Spencer is selling a nightdress that's so 'beautiful', it seems almost a waste to wear it only to bed. With the right accessories like high heels, a necklace, and a clutch bag, it could easily double as a stunning cocktail dress or a perfect date night outfit.
Marks and Spencer's Amelia Satin Lace Trim Midi Chemise is priced at £35 and is only available to buy online. It is part of Boux Avenue's collection and comes in sizes 8-18.
The nightdress can be bought in either black or ivory. The 'sleek and sophisticated' chemise is made with silky satin for a glamorous look and comes in a easy to wear regular fit.

It also features lace trimming across the V-shaped neckline, which gives a touch of elegance. The slim crossover straps are adjustable to help you find the perfect length, while its side split in the midi hem provides floaty movement
Marks and Spencer's is also selling Victoria Secret model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley's Satin Printed Chemise in red for £32, which could also be easily mistaken for a 'going out' dress. The retailer's Cotton Rich Ribbed Nightdress for £35 could also be layered up and worn with a pair of heels and a jacket.
Designer brand Ralph Lauren is even selling a similar version of the dress, but it'll cost you £229. In the reviews for Marks and Spencer's Boux avenue Amelia Satin Lace Trim Midi Chemise, shoppers have given it an overall score of 4.8 stars out of five.
In the reviews, one said: "Love this. Beautiful feel next to skin. Great fit." A second wrote: "Very comfortable to wear. Easy to order and delivered on time." A third penned: "A really beautiful nightgown. I bought the white one, and it's very soft and flattering."
Another typed: "Sizing is perfect and the material is lovely. Good quality for the price." Kevin added: "Bought this for my wife, she loves the style size and material. Winner."
However, some were disappointed they can't find a matching dressing gown to go with the nightdress. One customer said: "Delighted that this fitted so nicely and the satin feels lovely. The only complaint would be that there isn’t a matching robe."
Another said: "Really nice and soft good length shame no matching long dressing gown to match." A third also said: "The crossover straps were a bit of a challenge."
Elsewhere, New Look is selling a Satin V Neck Sleeveless Mini Dress that comes in olive green or coral pink for £30. It is also selling a Gold Foil Cross Over Strap Midi Dress for £32.99 that's just as gorgeous. As for H&M, you can get a Lace-Trimmed Slip Dress in either black or light beige for £20.
